Necker is a 74 acre island and sits in turquoise waters surrounded by coral reefs and fringed with beautiful white sand beaches. The island can be hired exclusively for groups of up to 40 adults plus six children, or during the specially selected Necker Celebration weeks throughout the year, individual rooms can be booked, which means you can still enjoy the Necker Island experience without having to rent the whole island.
The Great House on Necker Island is designed in Balinese style and boasts amazing panoramic views of the Caribbean, the Atlantic and neighbouring islands.
Each of the eleven guest rooms in the Great House has a balcony with stunning views, and all rooms come with king-size beds, which can be twinned, and en-suite bathrooms. On the upper level is the stunning Master Suite, which is 1,500 square feet and has been designed to enjoy panoramic views from virtually every angle and includes a two-person Jacuzzi, a stand-alone outdoor bath and a kitchenette area with a fully-stocked fridge.
Also in the Great House is the “Bunk” room, which has six beds and is a great favourite with the children.
These seven individually styled villas are built in authentic Balinese style and each can accommodate one couple. Two can be split into twins and some come with their own meditation room. They have shared pools and individual entertainment systems. The Bali Houses are so romantic and so private.
Temple House is situated right in the middle of Necker Island affording stunning panoramic views. Temple Master Suite and Temple Sunrise are also built in Balinese style and accommodate one couple in each.
There is so much to do on Necker Island, it is difficult to list everything! Water sports include kite-surfing, stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking, sailing, windsurfing, water skiing, power boat trips, snorkelling and, there is even an aqua trampoline which is anchored to the sea bed – great fun! Richard Branson has always been a great tennis fan and loves to play, so Necker boasts top quality tennis courts overlooked by a shaded pavilion with comfy sofas for spectators. There is a massive flat screen TV where you can catch up on the latest DVDs whilst lounging on the 26 foot sofa. There are games tables and an impressive selection of books and music (just what you would expect from someone who started out in the record industry!)
In the Great House you can enjoy a game of snooker (there is a full size table), enjoy listening to music or make your own on the grand piano! There are guest computers with complimentary internet access or you can curl up and watch a good movie. Complimentary wi-fi is provided on Necker Island.
The dining experience on Necker Island is simply amazing. Top chefs prepare wonderful meals but if you just fancy a burger – it will probably be the best you have ever tasted!
